It is the latest in a series of symbolic gestures of the indignance towards Greece and its part in the Macedonian name dispute on an official, government level.

According to FYR Macedonian daily, Dnevnik, nationals of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) travelling to Greece are being harassed by their own border officials as part of a policy of discouraging and disapproving of tourism towards Greece, which is involved in the name dispute with FYROM.

FYR Macedonian nationals have complained of being subjected to excessive baggage checks while tourists passing through FYROM, Serbians and other foreigners, are being let through without hassle.
