Turkish troops enter north Iraq

The Turkish military has not said how many troops are involved
Turkish ground forces have crossed the border into northern Iraq to target Kurdish rebels said to be sheltering there, Ankara has said.

they will get a hell of a time!we've been waiting their attack since last summer....lol!let's see who these scums will end their operations...because if they do not succeed their whole system will start collapsing...

Little was achieved but this "operation" was solely for internal consumption anyway. Turkey is still a country of under-educated peasents so they won't know any better or that Uncle Sam actually pressured them to withdraw, that the Peshmerga intercepted the Turkish forces at one point and the PKK shot down one of their helicopter gunships (operational accident is what the Turks insist).

The result: the Turks counted 230 PKK dead (exaggeration or not there's still 6,750 to go), destoryed five bridges and some empty buildings and moved a lot of mud. But the PKK is intact as it has been for the last 23 years, Diyabakir remains the Turkish Westbank. It's just a cycle.

Turkish official 24 Turksih soldiers 3 village (Kurd) guards.

But PKK claims they killed 108 for the loss of only 5.
