LaKonian I know this thread is all in good fun but I will add my two cents worth. The U.S. has always had an abundance of stupid people just as in any other nation. Let me assure you that the U.S. also has the best universities in the world and they crank out some very intelligent people that remain in the U.S.

Thanks for the feedback Foti, i will also add my cents in the purpose of this post, yeah its all in good fun but also to reveal the all to scary true society of America which is overshadowed by the media craze, lame reality tv shows and your superbowl that is more watched than the U.S voting polls.

The philsopohy of my thread is fun yes, but scary too knowing very well that these people constitute the very economical and "peace" and "freedom" leader board and holds major influence over the whole world.

Its scary is what it is Foti...im guessing your American ( Greek).....its bitter to see whats under the blanket of the stars and stripes.....i couldnt imagine living there, and i would not want too.

You say the best colleges, i agree, i always marvel at there educational sector, but dissapointing to see what little comes out of it.

Im sorry mate, but most brilliant minds there are imported from overseas its a knwon fact, and the scandel has been revealed on the news more than once.

Americans sending there big boys and making big sum offers to chinese scientists etc.....

You only need to look at the leader of that country and it refelcts the society there, its there voice. Accept the resposibility of your people.

We ellected John Howard here and its was a blunder, some would argue...alas, its was our choice.

Once again, this a fun post, but you should also see the serious side of it...watch the next video and you will see.

This one goes for 40 ins but i sthe most serious one, and informative videos in regards to the so called super power schools. Public ones anyway.

The best public school in America goes up against the best in Belgium an dthe get done, America 47% correct compared to the Belgiums 74%.

Some 60 to 70 percent of households in the U.S. subscribe to cable. That gives them a choice of roughly 100 to 250 channels depending on your selected package. That is a great deal of variety. Reality TV shows are a recent phenomenon. They also do well when exported to other countries in Europe and Australia. Are not Australians huge soccer fans like the rest of the European countries? Dont soccer matches draw enormous ratings where you are from? Are you telling me that the average Joes intellect in Australia far surpasses the average Joes intellect in the U.S.?

Lakonian, the U.S. is not Athens during the 5th century B.C. We dont all get a chance to vote on every topic that comes into light. We elect our leaders and hope for the best. I know we currently have a bungling administration with an imbecile for a president but soon this will change. With any luck we will have a much brighter president with a brighter future.

Keep in mind it is very difficult to attract the right people for the job these days. Anything questionable in your past will be revealed by your opponent in an attempt to be victorious. Who amongst us doesnt have some sort of skeletons in our closet? Barack Obama wrote a book exposing his past drug use. I guarantee you if he didnt someone else running against him would.

Try visiting. It is a country of 300 million people and 50 states. Each state has its own culture. It's a very diverse country and shouldn't be lumped into a simple stereotype.

What are you saying Lakonian? Harvard, Yale, Princeton, University of Chicago, Stanford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Duke, Columbia, Northwestern, these universities have not produced enough Nobel Laureates?

Lakonian, everybody in this nation is an immigrant or descendant of immigrants with the exception of American Indians. On the bottom of the statue of Liberty there is an engraving.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free; send these, the homeless tempest-tossed, to me; I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

Why does it matter where they came from? They are now citizens of the U.S. and part of the country's tapestry.

Dude, China is only now starting to emerge from decades of communist rule. The people's voice isn't quite that loud. The country is still run with an iron fist.

The people they selectively chose to interview should not be thought of as representatives of 300 million people.
They are interviewing people in Times Square, Wal-Mart, and some other rural areas. Who do you think you are going to find at these places in the middle of the day?

I dont see how your defensive post concludes the last video.....

America is a wonderful country, i agree more than 60 % of the countries on Earth suffer on there educational board....but we are talking about America here....leading by example here right?

Now if we were talking about the English ( Anglo Saxons) i wouldnt deny that these people now how to fecilitate there students.

I think you have misunderstood my post...i will try to make it clearer....these people are growing up in a country which is known, as you have obviously pointed out holds one of the best colleges...how is it that, like in the last video , the students are so dumb?

And im sorry to dig this one up but in teh last 5 years, i havent seen more violence in schools as i have in America...there are guards infront of almost every school and college.

Are you telling me that the average Joes intellect in Australia far surpasses the average Joes intellect in the U.S.?

I would bet you on it, yes.

Before i go, i shall point out to you that im not a Michael Moore...funny, is he not an American exposing the stupidity of America?

Your the most violent country on Earth, more people die in your country in one year than they do in the world from gun related violence.

Your financial achievements lie on the ability to prostitue desperate countries.

The media such as movies like Borat play on the American stupidity.

I have mearly just touched on the educational side of things...please try not to turn this thread into a racist battle...yes all countries have problems....but it seems in America, stupidity is an epidemic.

P.S To tell you the truth i dont think Australians know the meaning of soccer...thats a joke for the lads in Aus.

I think you should focus on the Presidents rather then the people.
