Livy XL.58 - a note in the Penguin translation say they were a warlike Illyrian people, with a Thracian admixture, who constantly raided Macedonia.

You are trolling again.They were Thracians,thats why they are in the list and they mixed with illyrians thus gaining a mixed identity.

Above all there were two seperate sects of Thracian tribes.

The Scythian Thracians of the north and the Thracians that were liberated from Persians by the Greeks that later mixed with Greek tribes thus colonising "Hellenic Thrace" after its liberation.

Futhermore there is nothing in the Illiad that indicates that Thracians and Greeks spoke a seperate language. Thus one can conclude they were both of the same Pelasgian stock.

A great number of Thracian tribes were Hellenised and were part of the Greek nation for more than a thousand years.They also are also called Ionians-Greeks by Hesychius of Alexandria.
