The name 'gaiga' itslf is Turkish in etymology.Otherwise,bagpipes were known as ασκαυλος from the ancient times to the Byzantie era.I once read that the name φυσαλις was used before ασκαυλος.However,since I couldn't find any other source confirming the name φυσαλις,I have to put a question mark until someone else can cofirm it from a reliable source...
