Only problem is, Greece hates the colour red as it represents blood.

Greece'e blue represents the country wherever you look, blue water blue sky even the mountains are blue.

It's possibly the most "blue" nation on earth.

you also forgot to mention that red is the colour of Communism
so i think that why we choose red as a our background for the vergina flag since we were still in communism regime when our flag was started to be used as Official flag

you have to admit red looks much better on the vergina sun,beacuse the red and yellow colours are used to discribe the sun and its rays, so our flag is better in portraying the sun symbol

My team is Aris Thessaloniki - the God of War [Zeus & Hera son, Athenas brother] support base is primarily from the indigenous populations in Makedonia namely East of Veroia/Pella line. Many of the Greeks of Bulgaria that migrated to Greece during the wars are Aris supporters

PAOK - support base is primarily from Constantinople and Minor Asia.
