Default The Lion

A skopjan trying to tell me that the roaring lion was always a "macedonian" symbol, gave me this picture:

http://content.answers.com/main/cont...7/Car_uros.jpg

It's the coat of arms of the serbian tsar Stefan Uros of 1360.

You can see that number 1 has a lion as a symbol and is named "Macedonia" in the legend.

But no. 6 has also a lion as a symbol and is named Bulgaria.

What if this means that the region of Macedonia (thus no. 1, Macedonia) was largely inhabited by Bulgarians, who used the same coat-of-arms with their Bulgarian brothers living in the Bulgarian region?

Um how can this be the coat of arms of a 12th century Serbian Tsar when all the writing is in Latin and indeed English text? The symbol itself may be authentic but Skopjians often forge this type of thing, put it on there websites without giving a traceable source (see soros.org)

As for the Lion, it was indeed a medival Bulgarian symbol for Macedonia. Other types of lions represented the other medival Bulgarian regions. Theres another topic pinned about this symbol in this part of the forum

The guy just posted the picture and said it's the coat of arms of that serbian tsar. Whether it's forged or not, I can not say.

But imagine it being forged and they, in their idiocy, use the same symbols for Macedonia and Bulgaria, when they are trying to prove that they are not Bulgarians...
