Is Greece investing in the new JSF joint strike fighter ? or will they work with the F16 for much longer periods?

Greece will likely upgrade all the F-16's to the Block 52 model and purchase new frigates. It will NOT purchase the JSF, it is more likely to go for a hi-lo method of purchasing some 30 Rafale from France with production rights and tech transfers and some 30+30 Eurofighters with production rights.

Russia is also playing a hand..not sure what we will get from Russia but more anti ballistic missile systems is likely such as the S-400.

It will NOT purchase the JSF
Is that because of the not very good relation with the U.S.?
The JSF is going to be the best fighter/groundattack plane ever made.
Here in Holland we cooperate building it with Fokker aerospace company..
We have ordered almost a hundred of them and we'll probably share with the profits like we already share its technology!

A couple of issues has arisen one of them does equate to the neoconservatives.

They simply don't deserve any many for the foreeable future unless they clean up their collective acts and attitude towards Greece.

Other problems are integration of weapons systems, tech transfers & production rights.

U.S is selling some weapon systems to Greece hostile neighbours but not to Greece. Greece needs to stop being dependant on the the United States due to their poor attitude.

Basically, the production of eurofighters shall be the main line i guess. Unofficially, we don't want to be dependend on F-16...Some years ago when we showed interrest for russian Sukois, we received indirect pressure, by not being able to get reserve parts for the F-16s. I was in the army back then and i heard all of the dirty stories.

Its ok to spend 10 Billion on air fighters, but not even 100 dollars to help our site...

Man if they actually USED THEM we wouldnt be having these discussions...
