Default An answer to FYROM's military woes

Quote:
FYR Macedonia oficially doesn't have an Army since early 1992, when YNA i.e. Serbia took all military equipment, including the hardwood floors and door knobs from FYR Macedonia's Army facilities.

17 years went by, FYR Macedonia's Government has refused to purchase aircraft, tanks, helicopters, even guns for its Army. The only purchase was made from Ukraine in the middle of 2001 conflict. Russia and the US wouldn't sell weapons to FYR Macedonia, due to efforts by the Albanian lobby in the US. The lesson being "you don't buy weapons in middle of a conflict". It is no surprise that FYR Macedonia's neighbours have lack (if any) respect towards FYR Macedonia. FYR Macedonia is the "Israel of the Balkans" as a friend of mine in the Army dubbed it a decade ago. The only difference between Israel and FYR Macedonia is that Israel has a Government that deeply cares for its country.

It is believed (I could be wrong) FYR Macedonia to still have two Sukhoi fighter planes, who could very well have saved FYR Macedonia in 2001 at the Radusa battle. 500-600 UCK fighters attacked from Kosovo (Debelde region) and surrounded around 45 FYR Macedonian reservists. The two Sukhoi were sent as a last resort who swooped and wiped out most of the UCK. If Radusa was lost, Kodra Fura would have been taken, seen by domestic and international military analyst as the single most strategic spot in the Balkans. The two Sukhois saved the day, literally. A year later, the FYR Macedonian Government decides to, "Scrap the Sukhoi, we don't need them." Yes you do. Yes you do. Who controls the sky, controls the land. Military rule #1. Even the Tamil fighters in Sri Lanka have an Air Force.

Kodra Fura. Kosovo parlaiment passed a resolution, in 2001, claiming Kodra Fura as their own. If FYR Macedonia looked for a sign, there is one.

Janes Defense, in 2002 claimed that if FYR Macedonia had significant arms, it would have never been atacked. No Weapons = frequent border attacks = blackmail. Were FYR Macedonia to spend 1 billion Euros, money that it has, and will be approved overwhelmingly by its population, FYR Macedonia will get a piece of mind, and the respect they deserve.

I strongly suggest FYR Macedonia to purchase military aircraft, tanks, rockets, howitzers (I believe FYR Macedonia manufactures howitzers and ammunition in Samokow ?)

Below is a list of FYR Macedonia Military Purchases, for its own survival. NATO and or EU does not guarantee, in any way or form FYR Macedonia sovereignty. In NATO statute says "will protect other NATO countries", it also say "countries can choose own name". When Turkey took over half of Cyprus, did NATO step in to defend the Greek population? Catch my drift?

AIRFIELD Purpose # of AirCraft
Skopje Defend NW FYR Macedonia from Albania/Kosovo 45

* Because of its perfect terrain, FYR Macedonia does not require many soldiers. From FYR Macedonia's mountain peaks, Kosovo and as far as Thessaloniki are shown at the palms of your hands. It can not be any more strategic than this. Because of the mountains, FYR Macedonia can deploy dozens very mobile elite units (up to 150 soldiers), always backed by Air Force. Because of these mountain peaks the enemy would not be able to reach FYR Macedonia, as their movement would be spotted as soon as it started. How on earth FYR Macedonia allowed to be attacked from Kosovo, is a mistery to me, and on few occasions, the Janes Defense Journal.

For its ground forces, I believe FYR Macedonia has good amount of 200mm howitzers and rpg's as well as light weaponry and ammunition. However, for FYR Macedonia to have any credibility with its arch enemies, it must be armed with real weapons. I can not stress this enough, it is absurd, unacceptable that in 17 years, FYR Macedonia has done nothing. If, FYR Macedonia fails to follow up on the above comments, which I consider to be a minimal arming for a country, FYR Macedonia would continue to be blackmailed from the Albanians until Western FYR Macedonia defacto secedes and joins Albania.

Slovenia, is in NATO, bordered by friendly countries, yet it purchased its piece of mind, an additional 12 F-16. The claims put together by former FYR Macedonia Defense Minister Bukowski, that its land is too small for fighter aircraft, is an insult to anyone with functioning brain. Slovenia and Israel are smaller than FYR Macedonia. Slovenia has 30 fighter jets, while Israel has 1000. FYR Macedonia is in much worse shape than Slovenia, as each of Macedonia's neighbours has a claim on it. If it wants to survive and stop living a fairy tale it must arm itself. if it indeed plans to give up its territory, it can simply continue on its present path and do nothing.
Lastly, below is an image of Anti Aircraft gunner in the Swiss Alps. Yes, in Switzerland, a country that has not seen war in 1000 years, yet they don't like surprises and are prepared for it.

This pisses me off! enormously!

They seem to have money in Fyroms's government question for those politicians, where does it all go?
On to their personal bankaccounts in the Bahamas or Luxembourg?

Let me tell you those Gruevski and other's from the government are playing dirty tricks with their own people's money..

Could anyone post me a Balance sheet or something similair of the countries spending on infrastructure /defense/ health care etc...where does all the money go?

Are there any officially publicated governmental spendings that justify the nation's spendings to improve the life of its citizens?

Are there any????

Or the helplessly Fyrom government is being seriously blackmailed by the Albanians who hold important positions in the government..

I say eradicate all the Albanians from the government expell them to Kosovo or Albania...

But it's all hopeless for Fyrom they are ruined by their own incompetence, what should had been done was not, and now it's to late...EU dreams and Nato membership?
They seem to just hold out their hand and say: come and help us , we have nothing give us your money! is all they seem to care fore and want/can do ...

When will Fyrom see a non corrupt non blinded by money leader who will care for it's people instead of his own pocketmoney and will set things strait..

I despise Fyrom's government and i hope it's donwfall will be soon, but most Fyromians don't seem to care...they are helpless because of their own incompetence.

That's right Olvios, they can play their irredentistic sick mind games like little children...no i want to be Alexander the great, it's mine history mine..mine ..mine!

If there is any perfect example for a government who wants to flush it's own country down the drain, and effectively destroys anything that's good in the country i am sure Fyrom's government will end up very high in the rankings.

If normal people were in government all these years they would have proper history and good relationships with Greece. But the government is composed of wealth mongers that known how to control the populace.Same as in communism, they were isolated then and they are now in their little world. The Maktrix.

And the Greek govs are any better...Greece had pan strike a few days due to gov wanting limit the release of retirement funds in the form of pension that would eliminate most early retirement schemes and consolidate 133 pension funds into about a dozen, and this bill would raise the age bar to be eligible for the pension from 50 to 55 and for woman up to 65!
......i here the fakelaki makes wonders in hospitals still......and Greece spends second to America the most from its surplus on military defense.....what about the people?

I by far am th eleast person to discus the Fyromian governmenatl wrongdoings since i am more interested in it's partially Greek history..

People like Vasiliye should examine Fyrom's government and it's policy and treatment of it's own people publicise it in major papers and put a curse on their government to insure their downfall..

But noone except Vasilye tries to i think, and Vasiliye only focussed on the irredentism claims of Fyrom on Greek soil and its historical revisionism, but that is how bad as it sounds allready just the tip of th iceberg.

Promethean Fire the pension issue is serious but Greeks protest and don't get heard by the government.Fyrom citizens simply comply. And you cant compare the two states/citizens in quality or quantity. In Greece its economics and in Fyrom is massive paranoia.
