Bridal costume from the region of Gidas (Alexandria, Veria). The characteristic "headband" reflects traditions related to Alexander the Great according to which he allowed the women to wear a helmet as reward for the bravery demonstrated in a battle where men showed hesitancy.
["The falsification of Macedonian History", Nicolas K. Martis]

There is this costume from Mpouf (Florina):

YOu see we also have those costumes, we call it eagean costume:

Here, clic on the video to see that the guys are wearing the same costumes:

So, you see, we are not so different from endopian people from northern Greece.

This is not provocation, just a antropological conclusion: Endopian and Makedontsi are much more closer than Endopian and Pontian. Isn't it so?

Komi what do you expect when they have lived in the same area for over 1000 years? Christov's (on this forum) ancestors probably wore similar clothes and danced similar dances. And yet he now lives in Sofia as his BULGARIAN ancestors immigrated to Bulgaria after the war. Did you notice the similarities between the dances of BULGARIANS in Macedonia, Greeks and "makedonski"? use your brain for god's sake

When you first came to this site, you seemed eager to learn but now your posts are absolute garbage, making your insecurities very transperant. The truth is that your faith in Macedonism has been shaken deep down since you came to this site....hasnt it?

If you speak with a person from Bulgaria he 'll tell you ,and i agree with the idea-a Greek would say the same, "this is our dance (for example) which is the same as this one yours, the Greek one, but there is also a clear distinction in the way the music is played ,in the dresses, a distinction that clearly shows and serves to define which is bulgarian and which is greek. The Pontians did not dance baintouska, did not wear the same clothes, but that distinction i was talking about earlier does not exist among them and the Macedonians since Hellenism unifies them. The feeling of belonging to the same stock. So the answer is no.

Default Local traditional Costumes from Pilea (Pylaia), Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece.

The old female costume of Kapoutzida, one of the most beautiful Greek costumes.
This costume has some common features with other Macedonian and generally Greek costumes. This kind of costume originates from the costume of the Byzantine woman, who keeps the Hellenic and the Roman tradition with some Asian influences, dating from the era of Alexander the Great.
It is remarkable that, the entire costume was made by the women of the village themselves.
Nowadays, one can rarely find such kinds of dresses. Most of them have been lost because, at that time, they used to wear their most evening clothes when they passed away, on the “journey”. Some of these costumes were sold others were worn out. There are still a few elderly women who hide one or two of them, in order to “wear” them when they are dead.

Newer female costume of Kaputzida.
The clothing that replaced the older costume was the dress (Amalia’s dress, as it was characterized by women in the village).

The male set of clothes.

A complete presentation of the traditional costumes from Pilea and other information and photos.

Komitadzi we know we have the same costumes and maybe some of our dances may be similar. That does not change the fact we want nothing to do with your ideologies, country, religion, anything, and frankly you're people are an embarassment to the dopioi slavophones who mau have to be associated with your pathetic views
