It is time for leadership, not for referendum: Spitz Macedonia

Skopje. Skopje reached the essential part of the negotiations with Athens. “I think the newest Mathew Nimitz proposal has convinced us in three things – Nimitz and all the other who want us to make a compromise are not our enemies; Greece is ready for a compromise and Macedonia is also ready for compromise,” Macedonian journalist Branko Gerovski writes in newspaper Spitz. He thinks the premier Nikola Gruevski is too conceited to admit it, the Macedonian daily Spic announced.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs has informed us some of the medias which of the compromises would be acceptable or not. Gruevski sticks to his position that name cannot be changed by referendum,” Nikola Gruevski adds.

This is truly offensive. What compromise are the Skopjians talking about on their parts. My friends, of all nationalities, appeasement will not work. This is wrong. No Macedonia in the name. If we lose Macedonia, what next? Epirus to ALbania? Crete to Turkey? Sparta to Israel? No Isreal is not our enemy for nay idiot who what to pull out that card. Athens to Africa? No war but have some diginty Greeks!!!! No nothing. You can't be an amputee if they cut your heart out!!! You can't be whole if your head has been chopped off!!! No more Hellas if this goes down. If you don't understand me, so be it. For those that tolerate Macedonia in the Yugoslavs name, I ask you reconsider. There is too much at stake. You may offer he same arguement, but this is just simply wrong.

So to Hellas, show some leadership, lead the Greeks through these very dark times. No more we'll wait till this happens, show some balls, show some heart, show some...

I have never been fanatical about the name. If a bunch of rednecks in Georgia (USA) can build an Athens why worry about Macedonia? But my friends, it's not about the name. These people are manufacturing history; they are trying to steal our history; they laugh at us as they build an airport with Alexander's name on it. The name is their WEAPON so even those of us who do not worry about it must support Philip. NO COMPROMISE. NO MACEDONIA ANYWHERE IN THE NAME. These people are slavs; let them call it a slavic name. They are baiting and provoking us and making out like they're the ones being taken advantage of so Greece looks bad. I have no beef with FYROM's people but on this issue there is no retreat. Skopjeans should embrace their heritage not steal mine. Bravo Philip, a Spartan to the end.
