Default "FYROM to undertake all measures for possible Greek veto to NATO accession"

I'd say: bring it on! The more irredentist and provocative Skopje's behavior the better. Nothing will justify harsh measures on the part of Greece (embargo, preferably this time an unofficial one, perpetual vetos and and raising of minority issues, included) better than this. It's a shame it's probably the journalist's imagination running away with him...

They also predict that "that closer ties with Northern Cyprus will be established". They're just digging their own grave, aren't they? Kosovo going independent, Greater Albania just waiting to happen in western FYROM... It's not in their interests to sanction unilateral partitions.

The Albanian factor is very important here because: if FYROM can't join NATO, then neither will Albania (for obvious reasons, the same reasons that Greece and Turkey joined NATO together). This will obviously result in agitation from the Albanian and Muslim minorities in FYROM which could mess up any proposed referenda (the name issue is not important to them). Either way, the result is not going to be pretty and it can't/won't harm Greece.

As for claim floating around that FYROM may assume direct action against Greece, they can't afford to boycott Greece (because if it does, the EU will probably respond in the same way it did when Russia boycotted Poland). As for FYROM allying itself with Russia, why on earth would Russia care, what can FYROM possibly offer Russia other than rhetoric?
