BGL Hammond and Robin Lane Fox True Otto, very true. Lets keep writing and researching based on historical facts and truths. New pieces of work are good. Leave the propaganda and lies to the Slavs who do not have the truths.
As for very credible and established professors / researchers, maybe we can start with long established writers like NGL Hammond, Professor of Greek History at Cambridge University in England (I'm not sure if he is presently, he may have passed away). Robin Lane Fox of Oxford in England is also another who has written extensively. Both writers are at the forefront of Classical history and support that Macedonia is Greek. Especially Hammond. I think that academics do not want o get stuck in a political battle though, and if true, I can't blame them.
For those looking for a position of the non Greekness of Macedonia look at Eugen Borza of, get this, Penn State in the US . ANyway, I doubt even he advocates that the Macedonians were Slavs, and I doubt that he advocates the so called modern Skopjian language today is related to Macedonian of the past . Of course the Macedonian of antiquity was a dialect of Greek. My intent is not to ridicule Borza, even the Slavs should be careful not to hail him as apparently he isn't their academic saviour that some think.
I can mention more names in the future if you ladies and gentlemen would like.
