I think that Hoffman was indecisive about the etymology of Perdikkas 1) Perdika 2) Περιδίκαιος = υπερβολικά δίκαιοςόπου συνέβη περικοπή του προθέματος σε Περ και διπλασιασμός του κ , διπλασιασμός που συναντάται και σε αρχαϊκοαιολικές μορφές Also could it be that the etymology of Polyperxon is κατά Πολύ υπερέχων ??

| LANASSA (ΛΑΝΑΣΣΑ) A female name appearing in recent Macedonian inscriptions (AEK 353, Chalkidiki) . In mythology, Lanassa was the daughter Kleodeus, grandchild of Herakles. Historically, Lanassa was the wife of Neoptolemaeos, the Molossian King who together gave birth to Pyrrhus. The name is a distortion of LEONASSA (ΛΕΩΝ-ΑΣΣΑ). In some sources she gives also birth to 5 more children named Argos, Pergamos, Pandaros, Dorieas and Eurilochos. The name appears also in Locris and Phocis (IG IX, 1, 624, IG IX1, 200).
