Default The Serbian alphabet(s)

Does anyone know what the status of the Cyrillic and Latin alphabets are for Serbian? Is choice of alphabet a political issue in Serbia (e.g. conservatives prefer the Cyrillic and pro-West Serbs the Latin)? I'm asking because I note that the Southeast European Times and BBC Serbian only use the Latin alphabet, whereas the websites of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian Radical Party (the Serbian equivalent of LAOS in Greece despite its name which may remind you of SYRIZA ) only use Cyrillic.

Draco,

Cyrilic is official Serbian alphabet.

After II World War Communist wants to erase Serbian national identity and created Latinic translitreation of Serbian alphabet.

Serbia is now divided in two half:
one, nationalistic, pro-orthodox, anti-eu, anti-nato, itd.
second, anti-nationalistic, liberal, anti-orthodox, pro-eu, pro-nato.

First group use always Cyrilic.
Second group use mostly Latin script.
