The old calendarists from the Holy Esphigmenou Monastery on Mount Athos are persecuted by the Greek State Church and the Patriarchate. Mount Athos (Agion Oros) Peninsula in Chalcidice; Northern Greece(Makedonia), is also known as the Autonomous Monastic State of the Holy Mountain.

Look who is talking about percecution!

The ''persecution'' as you call it has to do with the dispute that the specific Monastery has with the Ecumenical Patriarch in Church matters, and despite the rumors and some preachers and priests that fight each other (no one said that the monks are perfect) no one has ever pushed them away from the Monastery, and the majority of Greek people sympathises with them and help them.

Most important of all, the Greek State has NO authority over Mount Athos!

So what is your point to all this?
