Voskopoulos talks in this documentary, as does Valiantos if memory serves me correctly. The documentary takes its artistic license too far IMO.

What crap


It is officialy an Orthodox Christian country. Look at Afghanistan! Something like 99.8% are Afghans and virtualy 100% are muslim, just like the rest of the middle east. In Arabia, if your a non muslim imigrant your treated like a dog, infact you would proberly get shot.

Infact the Middle East, which was once an area thriving in culture and facinating civilisation, is now a backwards dessert, mostly due to the Islamic conquest!

The Muslim miority in Thrace has continued to thrive. There are 120,000 Muslims (most of whom consider themselves to have Turkish origins) in Thraki, with schools that teach them their religion and the Turkish language. I wonder what the situation is for the once substantial Greek population in Istanbul? In Alexandria? Or how about Monastiri?

Afghanistan is one of the most ethnically diverce countries in the world, there is no single ethnic group in the majority.

Is that legal? I mean you have joined EU and NATO. I don't see Iran or those Arab countries joining. If you don't want Muslim or catholic citizens, just say so, but don't "lose" the citizenship documents. Of course, then you might have a problem with EU, but you can't have it both ways.

I don't think that this is likely to cause a problem with the EU, countries can pretty much give citizenship to whoever they want. Countries can give citizenship to whoever was born in the country (like Ireland) or enact openly discriminatory citizenship laws (like Denmark, there are fewer requirements for other Scandinavians to acquire citizenship).
