You could have read the account of Bishop Joseph Georgarinis (1670's) instead of lurking in albanian.com and then you would have known that he identifies their language with that of the Illyrians (there's something for you guys to celebrate about ) but then again, he speaks of their special treatment (priviledges and immunities) from the Porte... So when you look at it, its nothing really different from the treatment seen towards the Lala and Bardouniotes that the Ottomans had settled in Peloponessos.. wow what a find.
