In the civil wars it's usual that men of the same kin fight each against other due to their political differences.The Spaniards fought against other Spaniards,the Greeks against other Greeks e.t.c.Maybe your grandfather fought against his Bulgarian brothers but many of his compatriots were collaborators of the Bulgarians.

Now I challenge you to find me two modern greeks that are "perfect neighboors" that is , having their houses side by side without argueing from time to time about silly things !

Didn't Alex the Great respected every nation language and culture in his empire and btw he even took "barbarian" princesses and he didn't enforce the greek culture and making every thing a greek?
I think that my country is more like his empire unlike your country.

I intend to build a 4 metres brick wall around my house so I wont see my heighbours.
But i'm a barbarian, like TB said my great great ... parents came from the caves from siberia 1500 years ago (and thanks to TB I know why siberia is so little populated) and your great great .. parents were teaching philosophy 2500 years ago!

Actually that is a trick that the Macedonians got from the Persians. It was Kyros the Great , founder of the Persian empire , the first Emperor who acted with "tollerance" on the cultures of his annexed nations.

Actually , I don't think that my ancestors 2500 years ago were teaching philosophy ...they were goatherds who left the Pierian mountains and the nomadic way of life to became agriculturers in the Cenrtal Macedonian Plain.
But ...yes...they spoke the same language with the Philosophers and worshipped the same gods.
