There is a reason why the Turks/Ottomans NEVER conquered Mesa/Inner Mani. The Maniots were told just to pay tribute each year so they would be left alone, but did they? NO! That is why the Maniot battle flag during the Revolution stated 'Victory or Death' and not 'Freedom or Death' as the rest of the Greeks had. Euxaristo Tsontos yia to video clip!
