With the sharp, clipped writing of a master journalist, Creelman tells the story of his times, and of the part he played in that story.

thanks astoria. read the whole thing. its another world now. How many Greeks are moved by the ethnos' plight today like the author describes about the turn of the 20th century?

PRobably true of most countries these days.That kind of romantic nationalism is not possible in this cynical,urban,computer age.ON the other hand,romantic nationalism led to a lot of savage wars and uprisings from the early 19th to the early 20th century.All those kings from the same inbred family trying to prove which of them had the biggest ego didnt help much either.
