Trasport system in Thessaloniki is very good. I have not been to any hotels so I can not help there.

I have stayed at Kinissi Palace. It is on Egnatia street. Walking distance to most places and you can catch a bus anywhere else you would like to go. Nice hotel. I have always driven to Halkidiki. I am sure there must be a good transport system though. Thessaloniki has the only airport in the area.

![]() All the hotels you may find in the red frame are in the centre of the city. Just some minutes walk, you 'll enjoy anyway watching the windows of the shops. In the city you can move with buses that serve the public all day, from very early in the morning until very late at night. You can find a taxi at any moment of the day or the night. They do not cost much compared to other countries and they bring you everywhere. So ,they are a good alternative. If you want to go on bus in Chalkidiki you will have to take one from the KTEL Chalkidikis. Here is some information http://www.gohalkidiki.com/gr/generalinfo/ktel/ktel.asp
