Got this from reading one of the french language papers while having a coffee:

La mairesse de l'arrondissement de Villeray-Saint- Michel-Parc-Extension, Anie Samson, ne cache pas sa colère contre Ottawa dans le dossier de la maison de transition de la rue Ogilvy.


«Non seulement il est acceptable pour la population d'ouvrir un tel centre carcéral dans le quartier le plus populeux, mais il est aussi choquant de les voir agir sans demander de permis et sans même nous aviser de leur démarche», a déclaré Mme Samson.


La mairesse, qui a rencontré les dirigeants, au Québec, du Service correctionnel et qui leur a demandé de fermer cette maison, attend toujours la réponse.

Stockwell Day

Au bureau de Stockwell Day, ministre fédéral de la Sécurité publique, on a décidé d'apporter une attention particulière Ã* ce dossier.


Son attachée de presse, Mélissa Leclerc, a déclaré que l'ouverture de cette maison correspond aux politiques du gouvernement mais elle «croit que le ministre va peut-être rencontrer les élus de Montréal pour en discuter».


Elle affirme en outre que le Service correctionnel du Canada prévoit rencontrer les organismes sociaux et populaires pour leur expliquer le pourquoi de la décision.

It basically says that the said halfway house opened without consulting the city councillor representing the area.I read that my neighbourhood has the highest per capita population of people under 14 years old here in Montreal.
This house is roughly two-thousand feet from MY house.My mom crosses that street five times per week on her way to and from work.

Lock these criminals up and throw away the key.Although execution would be my preferred method.

Sexual Predators loose in my neighbourhood.I hope they die a slow death.


My letter:

It's bad enough that these people aren't in jail but you have them loose in my neighbourhood where my mom crosses that street several times per week going to and from work.

I've already informed many people throughout the internet about this disgraceful situation.
