After Cadmus, I joined the club, too. Three thugs in their early to mid-twenties tried to break into my apartment, cursing me as a traitor. That was 50 minutes ago, double doors made of steel and stuffed with kevlar, mounted on the walls with voluminous metal structure. They had no chance to break in, they were using foot kicking and advances with shoulder/upper arm strikes.

I wonder who the hell send these guys? My block with 120 apartments is 90% inhabited by police and army operatives yet nobody reacted regarding the loud bangs.

However I won't report them to police. They only scratched the door's finishing layer of color and they left over footprints and couple of graffiti.

Needless to say after I joined American Chronicle I obtained couple of dozens of offensive emails, two of which were from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from the "Telekom" corporation. Several of them were threats, one of which included attached pictures of me in the neighborhood.

I knew this would happen sooner or later. I hope it was a one time incident. I agree with Akritas, you should report it, because they might give you some good advice of what you can do in such cases.

What surprises me though is that you got 2 offensive mails from the ministry of foreign affairs?

Do you have an extract on that?

I mean, to have frustrated people around you is expected but to get offensive mails from official authorities is sick.

Thanks. Actually, I have no hard evidence that this is a politically motivated attack. I failed to make an audio recording, I just waited with a metal rod for three minutes or so. Police is, again, out of question.

I browsed the net a while ago, and I found a thread at kajgana.com (it is as large as the Greek phorum.gr) where some blokes suggested an attack http://forum.kajgana.com/showthread.php?t=30774

This is mob with the same mentality as those who atatcked RADKO session in 2000, and Bulgarians during their commemoration in 2007

You have a long road in front of you. May we forward your experience to the Greek newspapers? The last thing you would want is to be in the dark where people can come at you with no fear of being identified.

If the Greek press can get a hold of your story they will make any actions against you public. I don't think the Vardarskan government would want the EU to see the limitations to free speech and any violence to those that simply has a differing opinion.

Pressure may come from Oranio Toxo in fear that those types of incidents may come their way by Macedonians and other Greeks from the right.

Your incident has gone past words and threats. This is a violent act designed to intimidate you if not actually hurt your person.

Let us know if you want us to support you with our efforts to notify Greek Newspapers. It's your call.
