All the above stuff should be commented by FYROM people. The idiotic propaganda in Canada and Australia has convinced them that the name Macedonia began being used in Greece only ...after 1980 !!

In my opinion, such easily refuted blattant lies are usefull to us : The stupidity and hatred of the Slavomacedonian Diaspora propaganda emerges nude and cruel !!

Default Use Common Sense

if the scopians want the truth, they have to use common sense! Why is no reference to Macedonians before the second half of the 18th century?

Turks seeing the expansion of the libarated Greek nation and figured out that it would claim ancient ground and the liberation of the rest of Greek people, started propangand to give a seperate identity to the Greek Macedonians, Slavic Macedonians and so forth, so to cut down any links to the free Greeks!
Serbia and Bulgaria supported this since they had their dream of getting access to the Agean sea from the detoriating Othoman Empire. It is so simple, since they could not convince the Greek Macedonians that they were Turks, or Serbians or Bulgarians. On the other hand during the Byzantine Empire there were a lot of by force slavised Greek people, as well as later Turkishised Greeks.

The Scopian elite which had been betrayed by the official Bulgarian Government tried / tries to establish a distinct nation.

If you search deeper you will find / consider yourselves as Slavised Greeks that is your langauage is Bulgarian with some Ancient Greek words and that is why you have a lot of people in Diaspora with Greek names!

The strange thing is that you claim that you are in the region for the last 1.000 years and thus you should own the Agean Macedonia, but you forget to mention who were the onwers of the region before that? Slavish people?

Even in the recent years, after Greek civil war, there were Greek communists that fled to Skopia and are part of the current movement to get revenge against the Greek state.

I have an aunt that besides Greek speaks your langauage, she was born close to Skopia - Greek borders. She got very mad when I asked here if she is Macedonian, she said to me I am Greek from Macedonia (meaning the greek macedonia), as you are Greek from Pelloponise! She said that she learned the language from their parents and grandfathers, they cannot write down this language and they used this language for trade with cross-border people, either Bulgarians or Skopians.

You claim Bulgarians heores and Greek heroes as your anchestors. How is this possible?

Search behind the scenes! Good luck!
