Default NBC sports has corrected its unhistorical statement.!!!

NBC in her web-page that has as subject the Olympic games and the FYROM State remarks as as about the Olympic Tradition:....

Quote:
Philip II, King of Macedon and father of Alexander the Great, won three Olympic titles at the ancient Games.

Dear NBC editor
s....
by calling the FYROM State as Macedonia a geographical and historical region you promote Slavmacedonism. The State that you showing in your web site is the "former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" as recognized from UN and Olympic Committee.

Dear NBC editors........
FYROM residents as and their culture are Slavic and Albanian and have nothing to do with the ancient Macedonian and Philip II.Macedonians, like all Greeks, took part in the Amphictyony and the Olympic games.......Greek Olympic games and not Slav or Albanian

Dear NBC editors ......
respect Greek Olympic Tradition and do not put Greek historical persons in a State that has nothing to do with the ancient Greek Olympic Tradition.

I have sent my e-mail to complain about the inaccuracies and this Slavic country...
"
think you have made some historical inaccuracies about this Slavic country, please research and make the right historical statements.

Macedonians were Hellenics and I myself am a Greek Macedonian and have NO connection to the FYROM= Slavs.

Thank you"

I also sent an e-mail.It's good to remind to these ignorant kourabiedes that: 1)The participation of Philip and all the other Macedonians in the Olympic games is the clearest proof of their Greek origin because only the Greeks were allowed to participate in those games.2)All the serious historians agree that the Fyromians are a Slavic tribe speaking a Slavic language closely related to Bulgarian who settled in the area 1000 years after Alexander's and Philip's era and they haven't any connection to the ancient Macedonians.
I think these have to be the 2 basic points of our e-mails.

Lets not forget about Cyprus

http://www.nbcolympics.com/countries...cyp/index.html

Quote:
An island republic in the northeastern Mediterranean Sea. The third-largest island in the Mediterranean, Cyprus lies off the southern coast of Turkey.

On April 24, 2004, Greek Cypriots rejected a U.N.-sponsored proposal that would have united the island, currently divided into a Greek Cypriot area and a Turkish Cypriot area. The vote occurred a week before Cyprus's entrance into the European Union, on May 1, 2004. As a result, although the entire island has entered the EU, the EU's acquis - its common rights and obligations - is suspended in areas administered by Turkish Cypriots.

Olympic Tradition:
Cyprus first competed at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. Has never won an Olympic medal.

Beijing Outlook:
Shooter George Achilleos who finished tied for ninth in the men's skeet in Athens, could win nation's first Olympic medal. Tennis player Marcos Baghdatis withdrew from the Games due to a right wrist injury.
No mention of the illegal occupation, you would think that Turkey never invaded Cyprus from the way this has been written!

Dear NBC executives, employees and affiliates:

1)The participation of Philip and all the other Macedonians in the Olympic games is the clearest proof about their Greek origin because only the Greeks were allowed to participate in The Ancient Olympic games.
2)All the serious historians agree that the Fyromians are a Slavic tribe speaking a Slavic language closely related to Bulgarian who settled in the area 1000 years after Alexander's and Philip's era and they haven't any connection to the ancient Macedonians.

Id like your company to review true History and not FYROM propaganda. As for Bob Costas being of Greek decent, I pity him for not stating the obvious that Macedonia is Greek, and not some Pseudo-Bulgarian Albanian country from the North. And in supporting FYROM (Pseudo-Macedonia) Your Company and Affiliates accept Fascism and Communistic ideals. From Stalin to Tito,(communist to fascist) accepted this small country to the North of Greece as Macedonia, only for the reason to gain sea access to the South which consists of Greek Macedonia. I urge your Station to use FYROM Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as Sanctioned by the U.N. and the E.U.

Thank you,

My Name. . . :P

I sent this to both emails.
