I think this is great news. Fyromians don't realize that their current recognition with others is only temporary. Countries can Un-recognize you. I've mentioned this before to mitso but she did not believe me. Fyromians had a goal to get 130 or so countries to recognize them. Now things are going backwards for them.

Bravo Panama!!
Who's next?

It's still irrelevant how many countries recognise them...Remember only 6 countries have fully recognised them. The rest only bilaterally.

Which are the 6? I can only guess that US, Serbia and Russia are within those 6 countries?

Bulgaria though? i know they were one of the first to recognize, but isn't it true that they don't recognize the language and ethnicity?

So far, no official letter has been received by the Macedonian Government. The Panama Ambassador in his statement simply says he respects the UN.
This may be just another publicity stunt by Greek FM Dora Bakoyannis, to portray some sort of 'success', for Greece.

Today Macedonian media confirmed that Athens is pressurizing Sofia and Belgrade to change their stance on the Macedonian issue. In return Athens promises support for Bulgaria in the EU founds and not recognizing Kosovo for Serbia despite the USA and EU pressure.
The answer from Sofia was negative since Bulgaria made it clear about Macedonias constitutional name. As for Serbia it is unknown so far, because Macedonia still hasn't recognized Kosovo. That's why we don't do that.

Are you such an idiot?

1.) Respecting the UN decisions means that Panama will now recognise you only with FYROM! (According to the law of the United Nations there is NO "Republic of Macedonia"

2.) They recognised you as Macedonia in 2002 but TILL NOW there is NO diplomatic presence yet! Neither in Skopje nor in Panama City -> SO WHY SHOULD YOUR CRAPPY GOVERNMENT RECEIVE ANY LETTER?

It has less to do with bananas and more to do with the Greek merchant marine...
