What I know of is the following.

- 80 members of Xrysh Augh were there

- Greeks from all over the country went to Meliti

- A busload of Skopjians from Australia approached the border and saw some Golden Dawn mebers; driver shat bricks and did a u-turn.

- The Greek police and golden dawn clashed.

I have heard similar stories.....A group of Aussie/Canadian Skops got belted by Xrysi Avgites and that they the Avgites highjacked 2 skopjian buses full of Skopjian propaganda flyers,posters,banners in Greek and English......Is this true do we know any more?

It was on Antenna, reported the following:

- Skopian buses including Australian Skop extremist group turned back at border only after banners from UMD, proclaiming "Macedonia for the Macedonians" were confiscated.

- Hrysi Avgites barred from entering Meliti however they are circling the town.Greeks from all over Macedonia on converging on the area.

- As there are no Skopians in Florina, Meliti has today enjoyed a true Macedonian festival (a Greek one). The past festivals were poisoned by slavs bused in from over the border giving the wrong perception of who lives there.

Greek police on the alert for possible incidents during Brnako Crvenkovski visit

Meliti. The two-day events in the village of Meliti (Ovcarani), town of Florina (Lerin) kicked off Saturday evening with enormous local audience and without incidents. The events have been organized for decades by the cultural and educational association Melitis for the holiday of prophet Elijah, the Greek ANA-MPA agency reported.
Regional dance and song companies took part in the venues on Saturday, and on Sunday Tanec company from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia will participate. Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski is expected to attend the events.
Meanwhile, the fourth world meeting of the so-called Aegean Macedonians commenced in Skopje on Saturday. Although the organizers officially announced that the meeting would be held in Macedonia, Athens is worried that some of the participants could cross the border with Greece to visit the village of Meliti.
