| We should invite him in this feast in Florina,if he promise that he'll lay a wreath on his grandfather's grave and in the monument where his name is written...and that he gives a speech, dedicated in the memory of his grandfather who sacrificed his life for the freedom of Greece ![]() OK,I was joking. The fact that his grandfather was killed in this war wearing the Greek soldier's uniform doesn't tell me something. It's not enough to conclude that he considered himself Greek.Do you know how many Jews from Thessaloniki were killed in the same war fighting against the Italians?Or back in 1922,how many Slavs/Bulgarians from the same areas who were serving in the Greek army, after their capture by the Turks declared themselves Bulgarians,in order to gain better treatment? The most important message of these videos isn't Gruevski's grandfather, but these old men who say that those who fled to Scopje after the civil war did it by their own will,no one forced them to leave. It's a strong blow on the face of the Scopian claims about the <genocide> and the <deportation> of the <egejski makedontsi> by the Greek state. It's also very important, off course, what all these people said: <We are Greek Macedonians (Ellinomakedones) and we have nothing to do with the Scopians and mr.Gruevski, they should leave us alone and bother themselves with their internal affairs>.

| So this is the supposed oppressed minority we keep hearing about ??? What was it i heard those old men saying? ' Den mas pirazi kanies' 'Ehoume elefteria megali edo' ' Pes to Gruevski na mas afisi isihous' ' Molon Lave ' ' Nobody bothers us here' 'We have great freedom here ' 'Tell Gruevski to leave us alone' ' We are Greek Makedones' IT seems the real oppressed minority is in Australia and Canada with thier nice houses and fancy cars!!! |

But this old man on the second video on 1:20... he talks with a strange dialect I suppose he is one of the "makedonskis" living in Greece right?? Very interesting opinion he has about the so called "expulsion"... and the guy with the blue cap too....

| That guy's accent just seems to have a strong rural tone to it. It's not really that unusual. Wouldn't say exactly the same but similar to some rural accents you'd come across the agro-communities around Pyrgos in Ilias. An auntie would say "oula" instead of "ola" and "kapniz" instead of "kapnizis", two examples that quickly come to mind. But travelling all over Greece you can definitely notice the accents in different regions, especially noticably different compared to the quick-tongue Athenian.
