In statements here in Athens on Thursday,

...While confirming that the use of an "adjective" in the name for Greece's northern neighbour that would make it acceptable to the Greek side was among the issues that figured prominently in the discussions, he declined to give more details or specifics about which proposals had dominated the talks.

Meaning of adjective:

The part of speech that modifies a noun or other substantive by limiting, qualifying, or specifying and distinguished in English morphologically by one of several suffixes, such as -able, -ous, -er, and -est, or syntactically by position directly preceding a noun or nominal phrase.

Slavia as in Macedonoslavia and Macedonoslavians, then ad Nova New or Gorno for up and you get Novamacedonoslavia.....

Vardar as in Macedonovardia and Macedonovardians, then ad Nova New or Gorno for up and you get Novamacedonovardia.....

I think Macedoslavia is better than Macedonoslavia (i.e. shorter)

Also, there is already a convention for using Macedo- to describe a non-Greek ethnicity inhabiting Macedonia (the Macedo-Romanians, another name for Aromanians or Vlachs).

"Mecedo"? Does this use of Macedo have a documented history? Or is it a recently used word?

This shift was very predictable.

They tried to force us to make a 100% compromise, and saw that we didn't 'bite'...

Its obvious that the US wants a solution before their elections, and therefore Nimetz comes with a proposal closer to the Greek side, and all the pressure goes to the Republic of Skopje.

It should be "Juxta-Macedonia" ...search the meaning of the word "juxta" in Latin and modern western languages !!

"juxta-x" = next to "x" so ...."Juxta-Macedonia Republic" = Republic next to Macedonia !!!
