After suspicions about United Kingdom, Slovenia and some rumours for Norway now the song selected in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia is under investigation accused for plagiarism. As OGAE Malta notified oikotimes.com there is a statement by Bulgarian national broadcaster (and not the fan club as previously was said to us) saying that there is indeed a problem with the song of FYR Macedonia. Here is the statement of Mylena Saurova from the Bulgarian national broadcaster.

"After I heard the Macedonian winning song for Eurovision 2006 I realised that it is a plagiarism from the Bulgarian song by Sofi Marinova - Zaklinanie from 2002. This reaction is sent to the European Broadcasting Union in Switzerland and they are making an investigation about this song. The Macedonian song is going to be disqualified from the contest, because of the rules IS FORBBIDEN to send plagiarism songs at Eurovision Song Contest." (by Milena Saurova, BNT)

They wouldn't stop at their attempt of STEALING a name, culture and history, what made these people believe that they'd think even twice about ripping off a song.

Why am I not surprised.

The champions of plagiarism are at it again, at least this time they are closer to their roots in Bulgaria!

Maybe they can do a representative song for Bulgaria given so many of them have taken up Bulgarian citizenship....

The fact is that for one more time, in the Republic of Macedonia the whole familly will sit in front of the TV to watch the Eurovision contest, and the little children will ask the question:
"Duddy, why all countries of the contest have a name and our country has this fyrom?"
And duddy will illuminate: "Because, my beloved children, our country has a bad neighbouring country called Geece, who all the time tells the other countries of the world not to recognize us, they are stronger and they don't want our little patria to exist, and blah blah blah...".
This way in the Republic of Macedonia another one "batch" will learn for the first time to hate Greece.

So this contest will be another one good chance for the enemies of Greece to spread their poison and acquire new followers, and another class of hatred anti-Greeks will get in the game.

When I was a little child, all the familly were sitting in front of the TV to watch the Eurovision and see the record of our country. Especially the children.
And eventhough Greece's record had always been frustrating, it was really fascinating.
Now imagine what a bitter taste all those little chidren get by seeing their country as a fyrom. It is too brutal for little children. And you cannot play with the young generation.
We will pay for this.

I assume that our "well educated children"(=bullocks) will have to deal with really tough guys. WOW!

Nikos, no matter what we do, no matter how hard we try, these uneducated fools (FYROMians) will continue to spread their propaganda from generation to generation, as THEY HAVE NO CHOICE as OTHERWISE THEY DO NOT EXIST... Can you see that? They have to try hold onto something (and I must admit Ancient Macedonia sounds good), otherwise they will disappear into Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece and somewhere inbetween! So no matter what we do (and dont do) they'll continue spreading lies - therefore why give them what they want and let them call their country "Macedonia"??? If we do that, then they'll start asking (officially) for right to our state Macedonia... It never ends with these idiots!

What about the alternate scenario, a young child in Greece asks why this country is called Macedonia when Northern Greece is called Macedonia, are you saying as Greeks our children will not be bitter to know they have a country next to our northern state called Macedonia claiming everything the legacy of the Macedonians have done since ancient times.. Niko, I am not willing to give up on our history and heritage, why should the Greeks give in?, to not hurt their feelings but allow our own to be hurt. I know it sounds childish but that`s the way you deal with childish acts.
