Just take the fact that the Skopjan mainstream theory (since 50s) is the the continuity of Macedonia as a geographical and national unit pervades all history books-articles and is fostered by every possible means. All books-articles-texts in the specific forum (also and the links) have maps illustrating a single Macedonia so that the members-readers will have no doubts regarding the truth of the texts, and from time to time them are required to answer questions on the subject.
In theirs books, net articles ancient Macedonians make their first appearance towards the beginning of the 9th century BC SUDDENLY. In the Slavic appeareance mentioned that the ancient Macedonians transmitted to the Slavs not only their culture and their customs but also the names Macedonia and Macedonians and thus remained distinct from the other Balkan peoples. This is the mainstream continuity. Of course some people like Yannis (oximoron the usage of a Greek name) try to involve and the DNA -ethnicity e.t.c.
