Macedonia have always being separate from Greece, even during the ancient times all the Greeks cities were separate and always fight each other except when outsiders came in.

Come on slavolord we've been through all that go read around the forum you'll get yr answers mate.....Simple He believed his ancestors were Achilleas from his mothers side and Hercules from his father's side.He ONLY spoke ONE language and that was Greek.He believed in the Gods of Mt Olympus and he shared the same culture as his fellow Hellenes.The era of Alexander is called the Hellenistic Age so please lets not get into repeating our selves again and again.....
