Hello to everyone.
I’m now in my 2nd month in Greece and have visited Florina where I spend few days with the locals. Unfortunately I did not made it to Monastiry yet due to the fact that my company did not have Greek IDs and had to go to Thessaloniki for Vizas!! We are planning to visit next month!!
After having spend some days with Floriniotes I can firmly state the following:
I HAVE BEING WASTING MY TIME WARRING ABOUT THE WHOLE ISSUE !!
The Dopii have absolutely no time and no respect for the Serbians (as they call the FYROMinians) of the other side. They continuously tried to discourage me from visiting Monastiri by stating things such as “Why do you want to go there? They are all gifti and we do not recommend you eat or drink anything there since their hygiene as very backwards and they are not clean” these kind of statements were presented to me by everyone!!
They explained that after the borders opened they started visiting old family members but now have realized that they no longer have anything in common nor they want any kind of mixing!!
I had a coffe at the NIKI border house where I witnessed convoys of expencive cars entering Greece from their side, when I asked the officer he told me that they are not Skopiani, they are Kossovars on their way to Italy via Ferries from Greece, you hardly see any Skopianous crossing!
The locals and generally the Greeks have coned on to the trick with the ONLY ID Entry and are not falling for it…I will probably be the exeption!
The “Aftonomistes” (Separatists)…lol…that’s how they call them selves loughing… in the state of Florina are numbered to about 200, all known to the locals from their families past activities and the killings they had committed, they do not hide their beliefs and they participating in the Communist Party activities (surprise-surprise) although they are ripping all the rewards of the Greek state. Vinozito is non existing and when I told locals what they do around their Diaspora they loughed and said…”Serves them right let them get ripped off again by their own for a handful of lies”, 2 years ago an old communist reentered and tried to dig up some gold he had hidden in the old house in the middle of his village (still standing there as the house of the traitor), he escaped near death when the locals show him.

Basically I suggest to all of you to take the time next time you are in Greece and spend few days in Florina and speak to the locals !!
I will post again after Monastiry visit…as long as I do not get sick!!

I thought I share few stories from my trip so far…as I remmember them.
I was talking to this 60+ years old Florinioti, pure Dopio all the way and he told me the following:
“When the borders opened back in 98 I was among the first to go, I even got a job there since my Slavomacedonian are as good as my Greek, after a few days I understood how brainwashed these people were and I started explaining to them some thinks. They will not listen, most of them were full on Bulgarians or other, the real Makedones, the Hellenes keep a very low profile” I asked him “Is there a Pro-Hellenic feeling, are ther Greeks that will support us”?...”Shit yeah he said, I even told the locals that I will go and stay with my own kind after they fired me and asked me to leave” and I said to him “How would you find the locals there if you were me?”…he loughed and said..”When the Greeks (Communists) ended up in Yugoslavia, Tito buld special apartments for them (commission style flats), houses for the Aegean Macedonians…they still all live in these houses, you only have to go around knocking at their doors…AND THEY ARE AS GREEK AS YOU AND ME!!”

lol you havent been goen that long....what i mean is that rainbow and 2995 people in all Macedonia never were the Macedonian issue to begin with.
