Some articles from N.Y. Times about the Ilinden uprise:

Bulgarian outrages in Krushevo and Kitsevo near Monastir:

The uprise is called <Macedonian insurrection> ,but Krushevo is occupied by Bulgarian bands and Bulgarian officers organize the insurgent forces:

I wonder why the Bulgarian bands occupied the Greek quarter in Krushevo? Why they hoisted their flag in a Greek house? You'll find the answer some lines below:All the fine large Greek and Vlach houses, the Greek church and school were destroyed whereas the Bulgarian quarter escaped. This was the aim of this <glorious uprise>,the destruction of the Greek community in Krushevo:

Bulgarian insurgents in Krushevo:

The Greek church totally destructed:

In the last paragraph you'll find another aim of the Ilinden revolutionaries, the intervention of mother Bulgaria:

What were they really? <Macedonian insurgents> or <Bulgarian revolutionists> ?

Big Macedonian rising...performed by Bulgarians:

What were the Bulgarians afraid of and they had their reserves ready for mobilization? Why would the Turks attack them,it was a Macedonian uprise...or no?

Bulgarian villages have risen:

I mentioned it before, the main aim of those <Macedonian insurgents> was the destruction of the Greek villages by the Turks and if the Turks weren't able to do it,they were eager to help them:

In this case the Turks didn't need help, they did the job themselves:

Game over:

Bulgarian inhabitants,Bulgarian refugees,Bulgarian prisoners, everything Bulgarian.Well,i guess N.Y. Times isn't the most popular newspaper in Scopje.

The importance of these articles goes beyond the fact that ethno-identities are clearly established by all involved including foreign newspapers. They also show that Turkey is guilty of some of the most brutally genocidal campaigns in history and they were indiscriminate as to who they butchered, raped, burned and/or destroyed. For all those Turks who continue to deny this "holocaust"....WAKE UP! There are more newspaper reports on what they did than on what Hitler and the Nazis did to the Jews (referring to contemporary reports, not after).
I can't speak for the rest of you but I still expect Turkey to acknowledge their actions. I'm not asking for reparations or any other sort of restitution (although its probably deserved). But in Canada you can go to jail for denying the Jewish Holocaust yet the actions of the Turks are ignored or blatantly (as I said on another thread a long time ago, they even held a fucking rally at our legislature denying Greek and Armenian accusations) denied. The above articles are independent proof that this occurred.

You are right,Pankration, the Turks commited many attrocities against the Bulgarians of FYROM,but the later were the ones who started:

They didn't kill only Turks but Greeks as well. It's also remarkable, how in the same article the same person is called Macedonian and 5-6 lines below either he is called Bulgarian,or it becomes clear that he is Bulgarian, since he is so sensitive about the rights of the Bulgarian population of Macedonia:

It's also noteworthy that these <Macedonians> never claimed that they were Macedonians by ethnic meaning,or their aim was the establishment of a clearly ethnic <Macedonian> state. The moto <Macedonian for the Macedonians> included all the ethnic groups that were living in Macedonia at that time.Off course the further aim was the annexation of Macedonia to Bulgaria, they just didn't declare this publicly.

As for the murders of the Greeks by the komitadjis, they had ready the excuse:They were inventing reports for the purpose to fanning the hatred of the Turks against the Bulgarians. You know which Bulgarians, the ones who had <Macedonian> customes

Isn't it suspicious that the comitadjis didn't accept the Turkish offer to allow the women and children leave Krushevo? No,it isn't!Their aim was very obvious:the destruction of the Greek community, therefore they helped some times the Turks to achieve it as we saw in the above articles.

Bulgarian bands,or Macedonian bands?

Macedonian leader, fighting near a Bulgarian village, supported by its inhabitants...what meows on the roof,as the old proverb says?

Macedonians active...and a Bulgarian band consisted of these active Macedonians.

Default Foreign newspapers of 19th/20th c. about Macedonia

The director donated the data DVD, produced during preproduction of his movies, to the government which vowed to make a mass production of copies fit for distribution via schools, libraries and commercially.

That's another "hyperpatriotic" movie from this fellow who should in my opinion, mind the camera and sound stages, not something in which he is not competent.

But the main question remains: what is audience to think about the "b word", in dozens of articles, like the brief news presented here?
