I was just browsing the net when I came across this site Proving History Through Science -- Phoenician’s Reborn through the DNA "Alphabet," the Y Chromosome.

It discusses the genetic realtion between the Phoenicians and the Lebanese people.
To my shock there is a refernece towards the end of the article about the Slavs from FYROM being of the older European Substratum, that they have been there longer then Greeks and that the Slavs of FYROM are a seperate ethnicity to all its neighbours and for more info on the "struggle of the Macedonian people" to visit History Of Macedonia.org
I have already sent the contact at this site a copy of the discredited genetics report and have requested him to remove any reference of the Skopians.

Please fell free to let this site now about its mistake.

The research
Researchers from the Department of Immunology and Molecular Biology, H. 12 de Octubre, at the "Universidad Complutense", from Madrid, Spain, and Tissue Typing Laboratory Institute of Blood Transfusion, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, conducted the first genetic research on a number of groups of people from various areas around the Mediterranean, the Near East and Africa. Though their study focused on the Macedonians vis-Ã*-vis other population, the result of the study brought about interesting and remarkable results regarding the origins of the Lebanese.

HLA (Human Leucocyte Antigens) alleles have been determined in individuals from the Republic of Macedonia by DNA typing and sequencing. HLA-A, -B, -DR, -DQ allele frequencies and extended haplotypes have been for the first time determined and the results compared to those of other Mediterraneans.

Samples studied
The study used the following samples for their calculations: 172 unrelated ethnic Macedonians from Skopje; 98 Moroccans; 98 Berbers; 94 Moroccan Jews; 176 Spaniards; 80 Basques; 228 Portuguese; 179 French; 102 Algerians; 91 Sardinians; 284 Italians; 80 Ashkenazi Jews; 80 non-Ashkenazi Jews; 135 Cretans; 85 Greeks from the Aegean; 95 Greeks from Attica; 101 Greeks from Cyprus; 59 Lebanese from Niha el Shouff; 93 Lebanese from Kafar Zubian; 100 Iranians; 228 Turks; 105 Armenians; 101 Egyptians from Siwa; 83 Oromo; 98 Amhara; 38 Fulani; 39 Rimaibe; 42 Mossi; 77 San (Bushmen); 192 Senegalese; and 86 South African Blacks.

Conclusion
The major conclusion reached that relates to the Lebanese indicates that they belong to the "older" Mediterranean substratum. This means that the Lebanese share the same genetic identifiers like the Macedonians*, Iberians (including Basques), North Africans, Italians, French, Cretans, Jews, Anatolians (aboriginal Turks), Armenians and Iranians.

* Note: The Macedonians are a race separate and different from the Greeks, Bulgarians or Slavs. Parts of historical Macedonia were taken over by Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia and Albania. It's is all part of the paid "Academic" theories that you can purchase individually by any Corporate Academic or Scientist these days. It is heavily linked to the famous DNA malakia that was chewed up repeatedly by Skopianous (until dropped for lacking any real merit) and partially paid by Spanish money. The original one is even listed at one of the world's most trusted Medical Sites, and everyone laughs about it.
In other words it is one of these things that private interests, such as Sales of NG magazines and Anti-Greeks put out there so we can all go and buy their shit. Ignore it !!
As far as the Anatolians concern let me tell you this...I know a lot of them that they see them selfs as Anatolians and when you ask them what is that really...they say..."We are the original Greeks. We lived in todays Turkey long before the Turkmans took over and we got stuck with the name "TURKS"...What were we before?"...and you know which ones these days consider them selfs real Anatolians???....The Turkish Cypriots!!!!!!
