Default FYROM nationalism

I found the following articles describing recent Skopian nationalism. Interesting to see how anything Bulgarian in their country scares the shit out of them. This will IMO backfire on them and simply add another problem to their list of problems. After the problems between the Serbian Orthodox Church and their so called Orthodox church and problems with Albanians in general, this will complicate things further for them. Best of all, the myth of a tolerant multi-ethnic country is slowly being tore apart. Very good news in terms of PR. Let's see how the Bulgarians will react to this .......

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sofia. ‘What happened yesterday is a logical ending of the Anti-Bulgarian propaganda and fury in Macedonia’, Rayna Draganova, member of the VMRO and granddaughter of Col. Boris Drangov, said in an interview for FOCUS News Agency commenting on an incident in Skopje yesterday at a commemoration ceremony at the memorial plate of Mara Buneva.’I saw a crowd of brutal boys, led by several people with red and black masks in a neat, beautiful formation, arriving armed with laths, a bat, pieces of concrete, who started to beat people – in my opinion – not randomly. They were primarily beating old people, people with double citizenship. It is very strange that police did not interfere. I find it strange that cell phones were off, none of us, who were trying to contact police, succeeded. Two policemen came after it was all over and the attackers were gone’, she said.

Kanal 5: Incident at Memorial Service for Mara Buneva in Skopje

14 January 2007 | 09:31 | FOCUS News Agency

Skopje. ‘Die, Bulgarians, this is Macedonia, Bulgarian Tatars’ – these were the phrases, used by a group of young men from Skopje when they attacked with bats and bars a group of Bulgarians during a commemoration service to mark 79 years since the death of Mara Buneva, the Macedonian TV channel Kanal 5 reports. The Macedonian Ministry of Interior reported one injured, but the victims said the injured were more than one.
According to Kanal 5, the incident happened in front of the memorial plate of Mara Buneva, located in front of the Holliday Inn hotel. Bulgarian media blamed the football fans of the Macedonian Vardar club – a.k.a. ‘komiti’. The fans have said they weren’t responsible for the incident.

Beware of Macedonian Nationalism

14 January 2007 | 15:03 | FOCUS News Agency

Skopje. “I denounce each violence and I disapprove such actions. I denounce such action of our Macedonians”, Jordan Kostadinov, Leader of the illegitimate OMO Ilinden for Radio FOCUS – Pirin on the occasion of the incident at the memorial plaque of Mara Buneva in Skopje.
“But you have to have in mind that every man should to a certain extent reckon with where he is permitted to enter one’s personal life, to destroy, to disorganize as they try to do with our organization. The whole Republic of Macedonia is subject to disintegration from Albania, from Greece and from Bulgaria”, he added.
“I would like to tell you only one thing – beware of Macedonian nationalism. If it happens to come out on the political scene it could become pretty scary!, OMO Ilinden leader stated. He declared he was against violence but added that “the final aim was to save the Macedonian nation and it was provided by the international law”. “We are allowed to use every means in order to protect the nation from propaganda, disintegration and from bought slaves like Ljupco Georgievski”, Kostadinov stated.

Former Ambassador: Incident in Skopje is Part of Permanent Anti Bulgarian Campaign

14 January 2007 | 18:51 | FOCUS News Agency

Sofia. “The unpleasant incident in which Bulgarians were attacked during memorial service at the plaque of Mara Buneva in Skopje is not a surprise for me. It is part from the permanent anti Bulgarian campaign”, the former Bulgarian Ambassador to Skopje Angel Dimitrov (1989 – 2002) announced for FOCUS Agency. “The campaign has its own modulations in dependence of the political aims since it is used with some changing positions of Bulgaria”, he added. According to his words the intensification of the relations was due to the accession of Bulgaria to the EU”, Dimitron said. The ex ambassador in Macedonia made analogy between that attacks yesterday and the “brutal attack against an attempt for organization of a Bulgarian NGO – Radko in 2000.

For those of you who are not aware of the event, the fascist state of FYROM banned a few years earlier the pro-Bulgarian association "Radko". You see the clowns of FYROM expect from Greece to 'respect' organizations like Ouranio Toxo but they, on their turn, will prohibit with the very first chance an organization with pro-Bulgarian or Pro-Greek views.

Enjoy the clowns of FYROM in one of the most shameful times of their short period politics through the post of ΓΝΩΣΙΣ.

http://www.macedoniaontheweb.com/for...ive/t-320.html

"In 2001 a district court in FYROM declared the Radko association "unconstitutional" and orderεd its striking out from the list of registered associations."

But what is that Radko association and why was it banned?

The Association "Radko" was formed on it's Constitutional Assembly on May the 24th of the year 2000. The presentation a" the implementation of cultural and educational rights, interests and beliefs in accordance of with the Constitution and the Law of the Republic of Macedonia. The Citizen Association "Radko" was registered on June the 19th of the year 2000. As a non-profitable, non-governmental and non-political organization in accordance with the Law, under Reg.Zgf.No. 18/2000 at the Lower Court - Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia.

The aims of the association are:

a) to raise and affirm the entity of the Macedonian Culture and centuries old declaration by the Slavs of Macedonia as Bulgarians
b) to re-establish traditional, ethnical and human values
c) to affirm the ideas of the Macedonian Freedom Movement. (For more information here (Untitled) and here (cache:JyefKjrcYjEJ:www.biserbalkanski.com/mb/post_message.asp?bid=1&rid=988 Macedonia banned+Radko&hl=en- Google Search))

"In 2000 several teenagers threw smoke bombs at the conference of pro-Bulgarian organisation 'Radko' in Skopje causing panic and confusion among the delegates. The perpetrators were afterwards acclaimed by the Macedonian press as national heroes ( ). 'Radko' was later banned by the Macedonian Constitutional Court as separatist"

How typically fascist!!

The ‘Heroes’ from the Beating in Skopje in Macedonian Internet Forums: Pride and Ignorance

14 January 2007 | 14:17 | FOCUS News Agency

Sofia. The incident, which happened during the commemoration service at the memorial plate of Mara Buneva in Skopje, when Macedonian ragamuffins beat 80-year-old people at the Vardar River bank drew the interest of the participants in the largest Macedonian Internet forum – Kajgana (forum.kajgana.com). The forum teems with postings of eyewitnesses, participants and greetings for the attackers and for the police, who were so humanely stood aside, eating baked sunflower seeds and did not interfere to stop the incident from happening.
The Kajgana forum also teems with threats for the next January 13th 2008 – and with unhidden menace for Viktor Kanzurov, Miroslav Rizinski and all the rest who dared to say that these days it is risky to say that you are Bulgarian in Macedonia.
And in fact the bats, iron bars and the chains yesterday in Skopje were aimed at frightening the ones, who were waiting in huge lines in front of the Agency for Bulgarians Abroad and the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice hoping to receive documents for Bulgarian citizenship.
FOCUS translated part of the postings in the Kajgana forum, entitled (Incident in Front of the Mara Buneva Memorial Plate )

***
‘Well done, people, this has been planned since long ago (but was never accomplished). Well done to the people, who organized it and beat the biggest enemies of the Macedonian people, who were exalting Bulgarian spirit in the middle of Skopje. Macedonia has a future with a youth like this one, not with the cowards that my coevals used to be. GREETINGS!

***
Remember, next year on January 13, Bulgarians will be gathering at the river, if anyone wants lynch, бујрум (he’s welcome)!

***
Let the baseball bat… the hand of the person who told them how a Bulgarian minority policy is being held … is gilded!

***
Really, what happened? I was by accident on the bank in that moment and I was just passing on the bridge when I saw a Bulgarian flag and all of a sudden – screams, I hear these Bulgarians scream, and our guys – hit!.., beat them, but they didn’t got them so much.. but the beaten Bulgarians were short from jumping into the Vardar, they deserve it, making a fuss in the middle of Skopje, let’s see now if they will come back!

P.S. Greetings for out ‘authorities’, who acted ‘humanely’, staying aside and watching the show’… ‘…To be honest everyone was enjoying the Bulgarians – they deserved it twice more than joining the EU’.

Fucking disgusting hypocrites.

Btw the FYROMian nationalism yesterday was not against only Bulgarians , but and against Greece.

picture from the Associate Press that show a group of disguised villagers act out a protest against 1913 Bucharest Treaty which divided the territory of Macedonia among its neighbors, burning a drawn up Greek flag, during a carnival procession in southwestern FYROMian village

It seems that those common and pure villagers finally show to the world what they are.How moderate, civilized and with what good intentions!Funny the thing that they protest about 1913 when one of the most used arguments by fyromians when discussing with Greeks is to look at the future and not to the past.

It seems that after beating up elderly Bulgarians these heroes came back to damage the monument itself:

Two Anti-Bulgarian Acts Mar Celebrations in Macedonia

Politics: 14 January 2007, Sunday.

Anti-Bulgarian moods in Macedonia are rapidly escalating with two violent acts occuring just hours after each other over the weekend.

A group of Bulgarians commemorating their local patron Mara Buneva were beaten up in Skopje on Saturday, and later the same night Buneva's monument was pilfered and all the flowers and wreaths burned to ashes.

The spokesman of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry Dimitar Tsantchev said Saturday that he incident iwas proof that certain circles in Macedonia continued their attempts for leading active propaganda against Bulgaria.

Despite the harsh statements from the Ministry, police in Macedonia seem to have done little to stop the anti-Bulgarian moods in the country. Skopje police have questioned several youngsters, but there are no identified attackers, bTV reported. Macedonia's Interior Ministry refused to comment on why they didn't do anything to stop the violence on Saturday.

Macedonia's envoy to Sofia has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry to explain what is going on in his country, and he should appear before the authorities on Monday.
