why did (especially) south supporters chant the words 'fvckedonia....fvckedona...fvckedonia' at Preston makedonia supporters??? and use the term "bugari..bugari" at the heidelberg fans

This is going back in the 80-90s

Was your stance on the macedonian issue not as important back then, being that yugoslavia was not yet dissolved?

Why don't you go to the Olympiakos or Panathinaikos or AEK forum and ask them why they call the PAOK supporters Vulgari?

1) What is wrong with South Melbourne fans chanting fuckheadonia? Pretty straight forward I would have thought. Chanting fuckheadonia was a way of taunting skopjians.

2) South fans called and still do call Heidelberg fans 'Boulgaroi' because as you know, many of their fans speak the Bulgarian language. Football grounds bring out peoples' prejudices and insecurities.

Doesnt matter if the Heidelberg fans are the purest Greeks or purest Bulgarians, because of the language many of them speak and more because they simply support the biggest rival of South Melb, some people will act this way.

1) Why do people who support Preston Lions, founded by people hailing from Greek territory get called "Greeks" by Altona Vardar Magic fans? Many of the founders of Preston Lions have Greek surnames dont they? How many were once members of the KKE?

2) Why do Altona Magic fans get called "Serbs" and "Bulgarians" or "Yugoslavs" by Preston fans because the Altona fans hail from the territory which is now the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia?

3) Is the language spoken by Preston, Altona and some Heidelberg fans Bulgarian or 'Macedonian'?

This post is of pure curiosity. Ive even gone to heidelberg games in the past (gr-maco) team and ive seen it with my own eyes and most supporters dont know why they are called vulgari..lol

1. Altona fans have never to my knowledge called preston fans greeks. thats a myth.

2. Preston fans never called Altona fans bulgarians. They do at times call them serbs, only becuase some of them were affiliated with Footscray JUST which was a yugoslav team in the 80's and primarlity becuase of thei geographic position in the western suburbs.

3. let me add one more point, heidelberg fans are also not so harmonious to eahother. Within the club there are grkoman and vulgari comments being randomly sprayed at one another from time to time.

4. The language spoken by preston, altona and most heidelberg fans is recognised world wide as macedonian.

1) You are incorrect. I know for a fact that Preston fans get called Greeks by Altona fans, Ive heard this from a Preston fan I used to work with; good bloke by the way Ive also heard about it as I know people who played for Altona and have said the same thing.

2) You are correct about Heidelberg fans. They are not a happy club down there. What do you expect when one day someone calls himself a Greek and the next day hes a an ethnic Macedonian. Same shit happens at Preston. This is what happens when your forefathers where a red star stampted on their forheads

Heres the American stance on this issue of the "Macedonian language". Keep in mind that these are the guys you got on your knees for when they recongised the name of the FYROM state.

MR. CASEY: Mr. Lambros, as you know, the decision that the United States made a little while ago with how to refer to Macedonia is a decision that is reflective of U.S. policy. As we've always said, we look to the discussions at the UN between Macedonia and Greece to ultimately work out an agreement between them on the naming issue. That continues to be our policy.

QUESTION: That means also that you recognize also the existence of Macedonia language and ethnicity?

MR. CASEY: Mr. Lambros, it means we recognize Macedonia, the country, by its constitutional name. The United States Government does not recognize languages or other sort of sub-national groups like that as far as I know.

While I won't comment on what's going on in Aussie since I've neer been there, I can tell you that here in Hellas we (well they actually) get into serious shity.. from molotof bombings and torture of 'enemies' (any vazelos knows about Volos) to insulting mothers, family and even religion is a norm.. Wake up ..... its a WAR !!!! and whoever sees it otherwise has never entered the REAL battle field (I do mean stadium)...
