Possible acceptable names by both sides

I like Dardania or Vardaska. They both denote a slavic heritage and are more than appropriate for this region. No permutation of Macedonia can be in the name; otherwise let's be done with it and call them Macedonians.

The name Vardaska fits them well, if you look at their surnames they all end with Ski for the man and Ska, for the women, so VardaSKA suits them. None of the Ancient Macs had names like these, please, what an insult to Alexander.

The Albanians of Kossovo plan to name their state Dardania because they think that they are descendants of this ancient people.
Anyway,I think that now FYROM would not accept a name without the name Macedonia.They have been recognised as Macedonia by many important states of the world so they think that they have now the upper hand,But i feel that what matters most for them is our recognition of their state as Macedonia.That is what they want above all things in the world.We should never recognise them no matter how many years will take until an agreement will be reached.We should never lose our faith and hope.
For me the most suitable name is something like Vardar Slavonia or Slavenia.
A name that will show the slavic character of the state and of the nation.

It was mentioned above that even if we accepted a name like Republic of slavic Macedonia or republic of vardar Macedonia they would still be named Macedonians by most people on the planet.That was a very reasonable argument.Because here is a trap.It is not only the recognition of a name but also the recogntion of a nation and language.The language would not be called vardar macedonian but just macedonian.That was a very good point.

To sum up most people here think that an acceptable name for the Greek side should be a name without the word Macedonia standing alone.

Greece should never accept any name with Macedonia in it, PERIOD! And if they do, then they are too weak and obviously don't care about their hellenic culture and history.

The Greek government should be tougher, and they should stop investing in Fryom, they don't deserve Greeces business.

Fyrom are so obsurd. If France named their country Rome and starting calling themselves Romans, I bet the Italian Government would have done something about it, but Greece don't seem to care.

Why name your country a name that's not even yours. Their living a lie, it's obsurd.

I dont agree with pulling investments out of fyrom, especially not pelagonia. dissolution should be our aim. they will not make the EU if we just stand firm with the veto and they wont survive
