Default A. Nikolaos, "The Language and the Greek Origin of the Ancient Macedonians", 1978

This is the integral, scanned text of that particular article as taken from the collection of reprints entitled "Macedonia-Past and Present", Thessaloniki, 1992

While in some instances the eBook is hardly readable, it is my opinion that it will present this very important synthesis of the linguistic, esspecially the onomastic material in sociolinguistical and historical context which defends the thesis that indeed, Greek was the native language of the ancient Macedonians.

If somebody has the means and time, it is advisable that this article should be digitalized via OCR scanning and made available on the Internet as -html or -pdf file, as it affirms the thesis visible already in its classic title vigorously, with thorough examination of all the evidence and usage of sound and polemical reasoning.

I definitely reccomend this article and endorse it in general, in its entirety.

Default It seems, what is visible in his...............

.....................final conclusion, that the article bears some prophetic hallmark in relation to what was once a subdued, but mighty propaganda to the early 1990's escalation of usurpation of everything Greek-Macedonian.

It is a very valid article because of two reasons:

-It brings exemplified knowledge about ancient Macedonian language and ethnology, synthetized in one place and analysed in its entirety vis-a-vis simmilar markers of ethnicity in the rest of Hellas.
-It provides sound analogies with some other historical situations, pointing to the absurdity that the popular Greekness of Macedonian is a "product of superimposion of Greek Royal House via the Court on the common,non-Greek, inhabitans of Macedonia".
