This guy sounds very pro Greek.

Put let avoid the nationalist crap,or things like 90'000 Albanians that speak Albanian at home are Greek, and check Virgilis stats.

Greeks or Orthodox: 301,934

Greeks 193.225
Albanians 91.886
Vllahs 16.693

Muslims: 166.813

Well let believe to that guy and say that there were 50.000 turks...
thus we have 116.813 moslem Albanians

Conclusion
193'225 Greeks
208,999 Albanians

However these numbere are not reliable, probably both autors made a big mess by considering many Albanian orthodox as Greeks.

What if the "Albanian Orthodox" considered themselves as Greeks and saw the "Mussulmans" as foreign? Everything indicates that this was the case and nothing indicates otherwise...

Everything indicates that they considered themselves "Orthodox Greeks",not Greeks.

Yes, and wanted union with Greece, not with "Shqipėria Islamike".

The Albanian independence act was signed by moslem, orthodox and catholic delegates. The first attempts in south Albania to spread Albanian were made by orthodoxs like Kostandin Kritoforidhi and Papa Kristo Negrovani. The last one an Orthodox monk originaly from Florina was assasinated by hired killers because he started to preach in Albanian.

Evidently all that was the activity of a minority with the connivance of non-Orthodox Albanian nationalists. There is no evidence that before independent Albania came into existence (and the resulting indoctrination) a significant portion of Albanophone Orthodox identified with Muslim Albanians.

Also, Kostandin Kritoforidhi, that sounds awfully like a Greek name.
