I was just thinking that what the PKK is doing today is what the KKE was doing during the Civil War.

By aiming at separatism and committing/organizing/supporting terrorism (resulting in the deaths of thousands).

Aside from their tactics arent they supporting the interests of a free Kurdistan at Turkey's expense? Compare that to the policies of the KKE which was to support other nationalist causes (Albanian and Yugoslav/ Skopjian) in the name of rejecting Greek nationalist causes.

It's noteworthy that Kurds in Turkey have historically identified as Turks (a notable case is Inonu who was a main persecutor of Greeks during the interwar period) despite their linguistic difference with the Turks. How is this different from the case of the Slavophone Greeks? In both cases their linguistic particularities were suppressed by harsh laws and many resorted to separatism. Whether some sided with the Bulgarian occupiers during WWII or siding with the KKE, at the local village level, there probably was no difference between Bulgarianism and the later creation "Macedonism"; the result in both cases would be freedom to use their own language.

My point is that PPK has no Turkish members supporting its aims, the KKE did have Greek members supporting its aims. Who therefore is the biggest traitor and why is KKE (and its branch KKE Esoterikou/SYN) not still banned (courtesy of Karamanlis senior) while PKK still is.
