Your first pic is ancient Macedon. The second pic is one of the many abstract geographical units which were proposed to comprise Macedonia in the 19th century. As Victor said the Ottomans never had a "Macedonian" province, there was a proposal for the creation of such which never came to pass and was a Russian idea. I dont even think that that second pic was the area proposed for such a province.

Well I suppose the picture you've shown just shows a geographical region because the countries depending on ethicities are shown in Bold.Anyway,what about Thrace or Asia Minor?Aren't they shown they same way as Macedonia in your picture?What?we should create now and a Thracian nation or an Asia minor nation?Or an Aegean nation!hah

I know that the Ottomans never had province called Macadonia! I just wanted to point out WHERE true Macadon was and where the dellussion of the Skopians seem to come from!
