Xhaferi calls for unification of western Macedonia, Albania, Kos
Tirana, 13:43
Arben Xhaferi, the leader of largest Albanian opposition party in Macedonia, called for unification of territories populated by Albanians, noting that Albania should unite with Kosovo and western Macedonia.
Makfax news agency quotes Xhaferi as saying in Tirana that unification of Albanian territories in a single state is in the context of resolving Albanian issue, which holds the key to resolution of the crisis in the region.
"Albanian issue is not a fiction or romanticism but reality. The process of assimilation of Albanians has been brought to a halt. The process of major move-out is also brought to a halt, and now all we have to do is to comprehend the reality," Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) leader Arben Xhaferi said in an interview to Albanian television Klan.
Asked by the journalist whether his concept might sound extreme and trigger negative impact on Albanians at time when the international community made clear that there wil be no shifting of borders in the region, Xhaferi said "the inviolability of borders is a technical issue aimed to halt violence, however, the right to self-determination is much above the border issue.
Xhaferi said another argument that backs his position is the fact that "since establishing of the United Nations, the state borders across the world have been changed on more than 180 occasions."
The visiting DPA leader Arben Xhaferi attends a round-table meeting on Albanian issues, organized by the Institute of Dialogue and Communications.

For those who haven't visited the Republic of Macedonia - and its capital, Skopje - in some time, many surprises await, and not all of them are good.
Indeed, Skopje has preserved its beauty is a city that acts as a gateway between two worlds, east and west, Europe and Asia, and remains to this day the heart of Macedonia, a country known in antiquity as "the key to the world".
However, one may ask, what has happened to Skopje in recent years? The part of the city lying on right bank of the river Vardar is reminiscent of the great cities of Europe: the city Square has been renovated and the quay is dotted with tastefully-designed cafes and restaurants, where one can enjoy the view of the river in the hot summer months while discussing with friends which musical or artistic event to attend the following day. Skopje in the summertime is a city known for its opera, art, ballet and jazz.
While walking along the right bank, I encountered a "tremendous" surprise. Between the cobblestones of the walkway were metal plates designed as Macedonian suns, the emblem of the Macedonian royal house of Phillip II and his predecessors. The plates are small, about 5cm to a side, and are walked over and hardly noticed by people each day. One wonders whose idea these suns were, when even the academics at MANU strenuously avoid this symbol of Macedonia's empire.
Sitting in one of the beautiful restaurants on the right bank, however, your gaze cannot help but stray to the opposite side of the river. The famous Stone Bridge, which joins the two sides of the city, lies utterly devoid of traffic. This fact must be especially striking for those who haven't visited the city in many years. At first glance, the left bank appears to be deserted, a ghost town. But although it seems to be devoid of activity, one knows that it is in fact home to a different kind of activity, full of tea-houses, mosques and illegal businesses.
The left bank of the river is overwhelmingly Albanian. Skopje is now a divided city, the European Beirut. While the right bank leaves one with the impression of a modern, European city, the left bank is more reminiscent of a backwards, almost medieval place, in which people do not hesitate even to bomb police stations.
One of the worst-kept secrets of recent years is that Macedonian police does not patrol the Albanian part of the city. With the authorities seemingly having washed their hands of the area, one wonders whether anyone is truly in charge there.
What, then, of the ossuary of Goce Delcev, in the courtyard of the church of St. Spas, located on the left bank? What of the church of St. Dimitrija, where many Macedonian archbishops are interred? What of MANU, the Opera, and so on?
Skopje has been a bilingual city for a long time now. We continue to give, and lose in the exchange, and they continue do win, and demand more. One day, they'll undoubtedly ask for everything, or take it in a new war. What then?
The FYROM capital today!!!

Kosovo, parts of Macedonia, Serbia should be annexed to Albania - Albanian leader
November 3, 2005 -- Leader of an ethnic Albanian political party in Macedonia, Arben Xhaferi, said in an interview for an Albanian language newspaper Express, that Serbian province of Kosovo, along with parts of southern Serbia and parts of Macedonia should unite with Albania.

Xhaferi was visiting political allies in Kosovo's capital Pristina where he made these comments.
"The formation of economically unsustainable and non-functional states is on the rise, which causes an increasingly growing social discontent. Why should the unification of Kosovo and Albania therefore be prevented if their citizens are in favor of it? The unification would preclude future economic crises," Xhaferi said.
Xhaferi, who leads the Democratic Party of Albanians or PDSh in Albanian, also said that Serbia and Macedonia are artificial states and that Kosovo should be renamed into Dardania because Kosovo is a Serbian name.
"Kosovo is a Slavic place name and it would not be right for Kosovars to identify themselves with it," said Xhaferi.
"He would not have invented the Dardanian origin of the Kosovar Albanians, when historical facts indicate something quite different," replied Skopje based newspaper, Dnevnik.
Dardania was referred to in ancient Greek texts and was once a small province of Rome. Kosovo Albanian President Rugova expressed positive sentiments towards formation of this new Albanian identity and once posed with a flag he claimed was Dardanian for New York Times.

I hope it is that simple to solve. Sure we have had much worst to deal with in the past, but I don't think anyone ever feels good when trouble brews.

I really dislike the Skopians . but the Albanians I HATE most!
They are filthy Sub-Humanoids.
So it would be good to preserve that fake , crappy state for now , and deal with the Albos , before they are a greater danger....
Ok the BEST scenario would be that we takeover both morons , and make an ethnic Cleansign in that Areas . . .
But , JUST imagine a "great" albania above our head!
Ok , they are not a Match with our army but we don't only have to face the Albos , there are and the bloody Mongols who live in Asia Minor as whell...
So we must be carefull....
--> Alexander first neutrilized the barbaric tribes and then he F...d the persians off.
(Look the similarities with the past... from the North , barbaric and savage people , and from the east , another Asian tribe....
History REPEATS herself indeed!!!)
Hope we have a New Alexander somewhere....
