The government and opposition parties of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) should agree on reforms that could open an invitation for the Balkan country to join NATO next year, a senior US State Department official said yesterday. The USA «wants to see NATO invitations (for the region) issued in 2008,» said Rosemary DiCarlo, deputy assistant secretary for European and Eurasian affairs. But, she said, «Macedonia will have to make continued progress» in political, economic and defense reforms.
Lets see what Greece has to say about this.

These reforms, do they invovle the name dispute guys? The constant theft of our history. The education at there schools that they are the descendents of Macedonia. The statue they have erected of Alexandros Megas. The naming of there airport. I can bet you all not.....i sometimes wish il wake up and thisi s all a stuoid dream....how could this have happened and its tsill progressing. Have a look around, we have had no positive out come since 1991/1994......nothing.
I was looking at the Kosmos newspaper, and there was a meeting with the defense minister of Turkey in Thessaloniki. There, on our soil..in the background of this pic, there was the FYROM flag ..right next to the Turkish one. That hurts......
