Greece is the biggest investor in FYROM by far. Which is why they want to get into Europe...without dealing with the name issue becuase once they are in Europe they will not need our investment..and will telll us to stick Macedonia up our ass and they will call themselves what they like. Which is why there should be no debate about Euro entry without a condition on the name of the country. We have them by the balls right now..and instead of letting go we should squeeze even harder. To get the result we want and what is best for Greece for once in our fucking lives...I am sick and tired of our politicians...fart assing around and playing politics. We should announce what we expect...not what we want..and accept nothing less.

We need the stability in this country and in all Balkans.
Greece firmly believes that lasting peace and stability in the Balkans can be achieved only through economic development, strengthening of democratic institutions in all countries of the area, respect for existing borders, and respect for human rights and the rights of minorities. This is the basis of the Stabilization and Association Process that constitutes the cornerstone of the EU policy for the region known as Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia & Montenegro). Its ultimate goal is the future integration of the countries concerned into the European structures.

There is a related source as about the FYROM from http://www.mfa.gr/english/foreign_policy/europe_southeastern/balkans/Fyrom.html

I agree about the stability...and economic development..afterall everyone is happy when they have money...we should not let our investement in FYROM compromise the name issue. We have the upper hand we should use it.
