As revealed yesterday by the newspaper "Thema",the new incredible provocation is contained in the so-called "Macedonian Encyclopedia", which have written, at the behest of the extreme-right Prime Minister Gruevski, the historians of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Skopje and was presented by Gruevski himself with all solemnity on 16 September.With the two-volume work consisting of 1671 pages, the version of which was financed by public funds of the neighbouring country and according to Mr. Gruevski is absolutely expressing “the cultural and political past and our present”, the Skopje government not only tries to rewrite the history of the region at will, but consciously alters key elements of our national Greek status.
Specifically,on page 67 of the encyclopaedia and under the word "Greek" is stated that "recent research has proved the Greek nation as having been descended from black African tribes of the Sahara desert!"
The 260 Skopjan historians,accomplishing the government ordered mission note that "the Greeks,coming from the African continent,without a substantial cultural background,settled the Balkans usurping the local civilizations which were advanced and portrayed them as their own achievements".
The unprecedented provocativeness of the Skopje government reaches the point to characterize the Greek civilization as result of forgery and theft of other civilizations,while it doesn't hesitate to appropriate historicaly Parthenon and even the Homeric epics! "Even the epics of Homer and the Parthenon are not the result of the Greek civilization,but a result of forgery,adoption and even usurpation of the above local indigenous civilizations such as ours, the Macedonian"!
The new falsification and controversy of the whole building of the Greek civilization will soon go around the world,since the encyclopedia is soon to be translated in English and new volumes will be added.
There hasn't been even the minimal reaction from the Greek Foreign Ministry to this new unacceptable act of the Skopians,this time not as a result of the policy of yeldingness which is applied systematically to national issues in the last years,but because apparently it was not even noticed! At the same time when the particular case has acquired international dimensions with the involvement of the United States,Great Britain,Albania and Bulgaria.
It seems that this new Scopiopedia is written by clowns like Stefov,Donski and Gandeto themselves.
