What was the number of people in Ancient Macedonia ? Population statistics in some sources say about 1 500 000 up to 2 000 000 Macedonians and some rest ?

So, the really problematic regions are Epeiros and Macedonia. For these my estimates are definitely much too low, and to reach the total number of Greeks "including Epeirotes and Macedonians", another half a million or rather more have to be added to the result I have obtained.

To conclude, if we include Epeiros and Macedonia, the total population of the Greek world comes to 7.5 million, and that is a minimum figure.
If we change one or more of the variables, we can reach 8 or 9 or perhaps even 10 million

700-650 BC ...Macedonians had start to descent fro mthe Pierian Mountains ...they couldn't be more than 10.000

From 650 BC to 511 BC Macedonia was still the south half of the old kingdom
..it comprended only the modern regions of Pieria & Emathia ...so no more than 50.000 Macedonians.

511 BC Macedonians got North Bottia (Pella) and Eordaea forming the Old kingdom ...at the last days of the Old Kingdom the Macedonian population must of have been around 100.000.

After the Prsian Wars Macedonia was expanded east of the Axios river
and at the end of 5th century associations with the northwestern greek "molossian" tribes of Upper Macedonia begun ..that were completed by their incorporation in the Macedonian citizenship bulk during the first years of Philipp's reign.

From that time and on , Macedonian population was something between 200.000 and 300.000.
