I just got back from Thessaloniki. I had a chance to visit the redesigned archaeological museum. It focuses on Macedonia. They did a nice job.

It was a great experience. I felt proud. There is a theme to the museum. The people working there direct everyone through the museum in its appropriate order. You start with Makedonia in prehistoric times and go through it seeing how the people of this area evolved. Lots of excavated things to see. All kinds of jewelry, swords, helmets, gravestones (Written in Greek of course. Did anyone other than brainwashed Fyromians expect anything different?) You really get a feel for who the Macedonians were. Great experience! I recommend it to everyone visiting Thessaloniki.

yeah from memory that was the best museum i went to in Greece. Another real quality museum dedicated to Alexander is whats needed more than a monument

Well,I will visit this museum in a few days.

As far as the momument issue is concerned,I believe Greece has to make a large one! I dont care how it will look like,I just want a large momument for our Alexander!

He was one of the greatest Hellenes,so he deserves the greatest momument!
